Ascot’s inaugural meeting of the 2022 Flat season is a top-class affair with important opportunities for horses to gain valuable experience at the track ahead of Royal Ascot.

The seven-race card includes four specific trials for the Royal Meeting, led by the Group 3 Longines Sagaro Stakes, won in recent years by both Colour Vision and Her Majesty The Queen's Estimate en route to Gold Cup glory. Last year on Royal Ascot Trials Day, the triple Gold Cup winner Stradivarius began his season with victory in that race while Rohaan and Chipotle were also successful before going on to win at the Royal Meeting.
Off the track, this is a leisurely day to socialise, have a flutter and sample the bars and restaurants on offer.
