About this event

Britain’s diving stars take to the boards this May in preparation for Paris 2024!

Sandwell Aquatics Centre is host to the 2024 Speedo Aquatics GB Diving Championships across 23rd-26th May, with the four days of competition key to deciding which athletes will represent Team GB this summer at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

Across the championships a new set of British Champions will be crowned in both individual and synchro events on the 3m Springboard and 10m Platform. Individual events will see divers compete in a preliminary qualification round, with the top 12 progressing onto the final.

This first major senior national event at the Commonwealth pool will see the likes of Andrea Spendolini-Sirieix, Jack Laugher and Kyle Kothari look to impress at the venue which brought them memorable moments two years ago at Birmingham 2022.

Ones to watch:

Jack Laugher MBE

A history-maker. The first ever Olympic champion in diving for Great Britain, winning gold in the 3m synchro at the Rio 2016 Games alongside former partner Chris Mears. With individual silver and bronze on the 3m at the last two Olympic Games adding to his accolades, Jack will be looking to secure his place to compete for gold again in Paris and faces a hotly contested battle with Dan Goodfellow, Ross Haslam and Jordan Houlden in the men’s springboard event (23-24 May).

Andrea Spendolini-Sirieix

Since making the final at her debut Olympic Games in Tokyo, Andrea has gone on to win multiple medals at world and European level and returns this May to the scene of her memorable Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games title at the Sandwell Aquatics Centre. Aiming to retain her British tile in the Women’s 10m Platform (23-24 May), Andrea will be push all the way by synchro partner, Lois Toulson, among the line-up of Britain’s best.

Kyle Kothari

Aspiring to make his Olympic debut, Kyle has overcome injury troubles in past years to become an established member of the GB diving team, win a European Championship gold medal and push the very best in finals on the world stage. The Men’s 10m Platform (25-26 May) has a legacy built on the backs of the likes of Leon Taylor and Tom Daley, and Kyle is among those at the forefront of divers that maintain Great Briatin’s standing as a leading nation in this event.
